Last night, the SXSW Festival got a taste of the phenomenon that’s already hit LA and NYC when the Brisk Bodega pop-up tour hit the Molotov Lounge in Austin. The Brisk Bodega experience provides a one-of-a-kind mash up of Star Wars–inspired art and world-class hip-hop, perfect for the film-meets-music vibe at SXSW. The event featured killer sets from DJs Roxy Cottontail, Young Guru, and event host Just Blaze. But that's not all folks: hip-hop legends Mobb Deep made a surprise appearance while Just Blaze was on the wheels, and the iconic DJ/producer spun the duo's classic tracks for the amped-up crowd.

The artwork, in addition to playing on the ongoing theme of Light vs. Dark, presented the unique views of artists Mark Dean Veca, Eye One, Artek, Jasper Wong, Pose, Leo Eguiarte, Tristan Eaton, and Dual Forces on classic Star Wars characters such as Yoda, Darth Maul, and Queen Amidala. Similar to the spots in LA and NYC, the lounge was outfitted with Star Wars Episode One–themed custom posters, and, of course, all the Brisk iced tea that guests could drink. In a festival that features 10 days of brilliant acts and works of art, the Brisk Bodega is sure to stand out as an event to remember.
