Windows Phone 7 has been making steady progress as it fights for a piece of the mobile pie. One thing the platform has been missing is a premium handset. The Nokia Lumia 900 is just that. AT&T announced today that the highly anticipated smartphone will be available starting April 8, 2012, and will retail for $100 (with a two-year contract).

Nokia unveiled the Lumia 900 at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show where it took home the Best Smartphone award. The handset sports a 4G connection, 4.3-inch ClearBlack AMOLED touchscreen, an 8 megapixel camera, and a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm processor.

If you've been waiting to try the Windows Phone platform, this phone will be a great introduction. At $100 it will be one of the best bargains on the market.
