In the wake of the highly-publicized Trayvon Martin killing, Fox has decided to pull the ad campaign, including the teaser trailer, for the upcoming summer comedy Neighborhood Watch.

The trailer, which is currently running in theatres in the previews for 21 Jump Street, portrays Ben StillerJonah Hill, Vince Vaughn and Billy Crudup as a group of neighborhood watchmen who patrol the suburbs and take their jobs way too seriously, which is evidenced by their intense interrogation of a local kid. The movie poster, featured above, also shows a neighborhood watch sign with an alien in it, riddled with bullet-holes, which refers to the main storyline in which the men accidentally stumble on an alien invasion plot.

“We are very sensitive to the Trayvon Martin case,” Fox said in a statement toThe Hollywood Reporter, “but our film is a broad alien-invasion comedy and bears absolutely no relation to the tragic events in Florida.”

The movie, which Fox invested an estimated $60-70 million on, is still set to hit theaters July 27.
