Concert promotion giant Live Nation has just purchased Setlist.fm. Similar to Wikipedia with its crowdsourced editing, Setlist.fm allows users to contribute concert setlists to a database, currently stocked with about 430,000 lists from 24,000 artists.

According to a press release, Live Nation plans to “create a richer, more interactive fan experience within the Live Nation community” with the addition of the site. Here’s hoping that in the near future, we could very well see bands publishing their setlists prior to performing so fans know if a show will be worth the hassle.
