In August of last year Spotify opened up its code and allowed developers to create apps that would run within its popular desktop app. Since then a good number of music-related companies have developed apps that focus on delivering a music experience unique to their brand. Today Spotify announced a brand new batch of apps including one from Def Jam Records.

According to the press releases, the Def Jam app will "give you new experiences in music discovery and curation," while the Matador app promises to "give you the ultimate experience in new releases, tour dates, playlists and more. As well as keeping you clued up on Matador’s latest releases and tour dates, you can browse through the history of releases from Matador since 1992."

Other companies that launched apps today include Warner Bros., Domino, a cool one called The Complete Collection. Check below for the full press release.
