Sun-reader Matt Smith photographed this tree in Essex, which has a oddly-shaped branch that bears an alarming resemblance to E.T., the alien star of Steven Spielberg's 1982 classic. It's been christened "E.Tree."
This ninth wonder of the world is located 10 feet up a tree in Danbury Park, and Smith's girlfriend can remember seeing it back when she was just five years old. Smith passed the photo along to the Sun after reading about other frightening trees. According to Smith, the "face" you see is a large knot.
Now we're waiting for a tree that looks like the monster from Cloverfield.
