We recently reported that Michael Bay would be returning to direct the fourth installment in the Transformers franchise, but at the time no one was certain who would actually star in the movie. Well now E! Online is reporting that there is a possibility that no cast members from the first three films will be returning for the fourth.

In an interview with Transformers: Dark of the Moon star Josh Duhamel, the actor told the site, "I don't think anybody's doing it. I know Shia [LaBeouf]'s not doing it. I don't think Tyrese or Rosie [Huntington-Whiteley] or anybody else is doing it. Whenever these movies make that much money they're going to make as many as they can. [But] I haven't heard anything about it."

The article continues to state that Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, the film's producer, told MTV that Transformers 4 will reboot the franchise and begin a new storyline. This will apparently include an entirely new cast as well. However, the movie won't be completely unrecognizable for Bot fans because he did confirm that Optimus Prime and Bumblebee will be back for the fourth film.

What do you think? Is it a good idea to reboot the Transformers series this early? And is Michael Bay the right man for the job? Sound off below.
