Though Deadspin writers spent hours posing as Jeremy Lin's assistant in an attempt to book reservations for him at top restaurants, Lin ended up going to Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse last night.
A Deadspin reader says he saw Lin and teammate (and former roommate) Landry Fields at Del Frisco's, and they were treated to a round of applause:

Someone else in attendance tweeted about it at 11:27 p.m. last night, meaning Lin and Fields hit Del Frisco's up somewhere between 11 p.m. and midnight. As for the Deadspin writers, we know it must sting to have done all of that work for nothing (so far), but we're sure Lin appreciates your efforts.
Maybe Eli Manning will follow up on your work sometime in the near future. We're also waiting for Carmelo Anthony to join Lin and Fields one of these nights. Who says three's a crowd?
