If just shooting shit or only building towers for defensive purposes isn't enough for you, Sanctum is probably your dream game. You get to do both in the FPS/tower defense hybrid. It's no wonder the game sold a reported 300,000 digital copies.
Now Coffee Stain Studios has announced a new partnership with Reverb Publishing for the sequel—Sanctum 2—which is slated to hit some time in 2013. With that much time to beef it up we're expecting something great. "Sanctum has taken the best features from FPSs and tower defense games to create something totally unique," reads a press release sent out today, "and Sanctum 2 will only build on and improve that experience."
