The music world was shocked by the suicide of Soul Train founder Don Cornelius, especially the city of Chicago due to the shows roots in the Windy City. Cornelius, a native of the South Side, was a former Chicago cop and Soul Train originated as a local program.

His passing definitely hit the city extra hard, but it didn't stop them from celebrating in his honor. In the video above, residents flooded Wicker Park's Milwaukee Avenue with a Soul Train line flash mob that Don Cornelius himself would've been proud of.
