While most audiences are waiting for The Amazing Spider-Man, The Avengers, and The Dark Knight Rises to scratch their comic book itch at the movies this summer, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance has flown under the radar. As a sequel to 2007’s Ghost Rider, Spirit of Vengeance looks to improve upon the original by bringing a harder edge, more intense action, and better special effects to the world of Johnny Blaze, who will still be played by Nicolas Cage.
However, if you’re still not sold on the project, Collider has just put up five new action-packed clips from the movie, which have been edited together into one satisfying video. It's plainly evident in these clips that directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor have brought their own brand of kinetic action to the movie that should separate it from Mark Steven Johnson's original as much as possible.
We’ll see if Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance can craft a story worthy of the comics when it is released on February 17.
