Ricky Gervais's opening monologue at this year's Golden Globes may have been significantly less sharp than last year's, but he still got in a few jabs at celebs - most noticeably, one aimed at Beaver star, Jodie Foster.
No smut or innuendo. And I’m not to libel anyone," Gervais said in his monologue, which can be seen above. "And I must not mention Mel Gibson this year. Not his private life, his politics, his recent films or especially not Jodie Foster’s Beaver. I haven’t seen it myself. I’ve spoken to a lot of guys – they haven’t seen it either but that doesn’t mean it’s not good."
Foster, who sort of came out in 2007, seemed to find the joke hilarious.
