Software developer MuchDifferent set a Guinness-sanctioned world record this past weekend, and hosted a game that had just under 1,000 participants. Just under.

The developer was showing off their own Pikkotekk technology, which was made the crazy number possible. At it's most populated, 999 players fought as either humans or machines in an epic battle.

It goes without saying that this technology is very promising in the long run, and to play a WWII or modern wargame like this would be spectacular. Let's hope that Pikkotekk develops very quickly.
