Warner Bros. Interactive confirmed the development of Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes today. As the name implies, the sequel will draw an expanded cast from the larger DC Comics universe. Recent advertising had tesased the sequel's development, and it's expanded scope.

In Lego Batman 2, players will see Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and possibly other DC heroes come Gotham City to help Batman and Robin stop a plot hatched by Lex Luthor and The Joker. As with most Lego franchise games, the gameplay will emphasize co-op and block-centric puzzle solving.

Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will swing into stores some time this summer for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PC, DS 3DS and PS Vita.
