Activision's set to kick off the first batch of Modern Warfare 3 DLC for Call of DutyElite subscribers on January 24, marking the start of the game's nine-month content season. Throughout the season, Elite members will receive at least 20 "content drops," including multiplayer maps, new modes, co-op Special Ops missions, and more. Each drop (we like to call them real-life care packages) will be available first to CoD Elite subscribers on Xbox Live, and for other platforms some time afterward.

Call of Duty Elite is a subscription service that includes competitions, clan support, exclusive video content, dlc, and more. The first two content drops will be new maps: Piazza, a compact, seaside village in Italy "where attacks from behind, above and below are an ever-constant threat," and Liberation, "a vast, militarized landscape, ripe for long-range sniper and LMG fire, with mounted turrets on either end," set in Central Park.

The third care package for Elite members will go live in February, with two more in March and the rest following at various points through September. At the end of March, the initial five drops will be bundled together in the game's first "Content Collection" for all Xbox Live members. In addition, each new content drop will be heralded by special events and contests with real-world prizes for Call of Duty Elite members.
