"Max Payne 3" Has Been Delayed to May on Consoles, June for PC

Better late than never?

None

Take-Two Interactive announced today that Rockstar is taking some extra time to make sure Max Payne 3's up to snuff, and the game's release has been pushed from March to May 18 on consoles and June 1 on PC. Our earlier story mistakenly claimed the game would in fact come out in March, so consider this a correction.

Take-Two head Strauss Zelnick said that while they take their release schedule seriously, Rockstar needed the extra time. With Max Payne 3's release moved to the company's next fiscal year, their bottom line is likely to take a hit, but we're glad they're giving Rockstar the time they need to make the game they want.

Are you looking forward to Max Payne 3? Is it better late than never, or would you rather have the game on time? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter.
