6. Blaming The End Of “Star Wars” On The Fans

One of the biggest pieces of pop culture news from the past week was George Lucas' announcement that he's retiring from blockbuster filmmaking, thus ending his involvement in any future Star Wars movies. But he’s not leaving a galaxy far, far away because of boredom or age; instead, he’s leaving because of angry fanboys everywhere.

When asked about Star Wars’ future, Lucas told The New York Times, “Why would I make any more when everybody yells at you all the time and says what a terrible person you are?”

We bet he doesn’t hate the fans that much when he’s prancing around his ranch in a tuxedo made of $100 bills. It’s a shame he didn’t come to this conclusion after releasing Return Of The Jedi.
