Gamestop UK permanently closed all of its stores in northern Ireland without warning on Monday. The game retailer had locations in three cities in the region: Derry, Newry and Belfast.

According to reports from employees and customers, Gamestop employees were informed of the decision the day before. The Gaming Liberty reports that Gamestop management have signed non-disclosure agreements preventing them from discussing the matter before the corporation makes an official statement.

Gamestop has said it will honor all gift certificates and deposits from the closed locations via Gamestop.co.uk.
