If you didn't know that Crytek was making a free-to-play online shooter called Warface, you weren't the only one: Despite having been in development for over a year (at least), very little has been revealed about the MMOFPS.

Realistically, that's at least in part because the game isn't being made for western audiences. No, Warface is meant primarily for the Asian market, where people are more amenable to the free-to-play business model.

The game, developed by Crytek Kiev, Warface will have PvE and PvP gameplay, and feature the ability to customize your weapons on the fly. Though it hasn't been said explicitly, that's where players will most likely be asked to invest in the game.

I don't know about you guys, but based on these images, I'm a little jealous. The game being built with CryEngine 3 and seems like it's going to be very nice to look at. Chinese game site Yesky called the game the most anticipated game of 2012 based on the graphics alone.

The images don't really say a lot about the gameplay, of course, but considering that Warface has no release date and may never be released stateside, that's a pretty good start.
