Anonymous Deleted CBS.com From The Internet Yesterday

More than a DDoS attack this time.

None

Following the government shutdown of Megaupload, Anonymous responded en masse against the likes of the Department of Justice with the usual DDoS attacks. Harmless, the moves only temporarily overloaded the targets’ servers. Yesterday, they finally claimed their first casualty: the hackers deleted CBS.com from the Internets altogether, leaving only an index page.

Anonymous also took down Universal Music, the world’s biggest record company, for the second time in a week. And French media conglomerate, Vivendi, who used to own Universal, fell due to a DDoS attack.

Feelin’ themselves—and deservedly so—Anonymous took to Twitter this morning with a threatening inquiry. “Just out of curiosity, what would YOU like to see #Anonymous hack next?”
