iPad 3 Upgrades
Source(s): Digitimes, Jefferies
Hardware and software enhancements are a given for the iPad 3. The bigger mystery lies in the actual spec sheet. A more powerful and faster processor in the form of an A6 CPU is to be expected. Apple running with IGZO (indium gallium zinc oxide) flat panels manufactured by Sharp: that’s a shocker. According to Jefferies analyst Peter Misek, both companies have modified the technology to “achieve 330 dpi (dots per inch),” resulting in higher resolution and low-cost manufacturing. On the other hand, other reports say to expect a Retina Display that quadruples pixel resolution and delivers jaw-dropping visuals. How about 3D capability? After all, Apple did acquire 3D map specialists C3 Technologies. So the possibilities are there. The iPad3 is also said to welcome a non-beta version of Siri, as well as iTunes Match and iCloud integration. We're sold.
