iPod Classic & Shuffle Being Discontinued

Source(s): CNET
Likelihood: Low

All the hearsay surrounding the demise of the iPod Classic and Shuffle stems back to the iPhone 4S launch this past October. While no official word has yet been given, the nearly two-year sales decline in iPods might be enough for Apple to drop the guillotine on two the most revered gadgets of our generation. Truthfully, we could do without the Shuffle, seeing as how the iPad Nano is nearly the same size and is more feature-filled. However, ditching the Classic, a device capable of storing 160GB in comparison to the iPod Touch’s maximum 64GB capacity, would be a huge blow for serious music enthusiasts who've come to depend on the device over the past several years.
