While we're not completely sold on Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance yet, we're positive that it will outdo the horrendous first installment. With an edgier look and ballsier directors, Spirit of Vengeance looks to bring Ghost Rider back to the visceral tone of the original comics with a hefty dose of violence and hellish action.

And nothing proves this more than the new theatrical poster for the movie that Collider is showing off. Right away there is an intensity to this image that is usually only reserved for the Ghost Rider comics. In fact, this image looks like the work that artist Clayton Crain has done on the character in recent years.

For those of you unfamiliar with what Spirit of Vengeance is going to be about, here is the official plot synopsis: "Nicolas Cage returns as Johnny Blaze in Columbia Pictures’ and Hyde Park Entertainment’s Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. In the successor to the worldwide hit Ghost Rider, Johnny – still struggling with his curse as the devil’s bounty hunter – is hiding out in a remote part of Eastern Europe when he is recruited by a secret sect of the church to save a young boy (Fergus Riordan) from the devil (Ciaran Hinds). At first, Johnny is reluctant to embrace the power of the Ghost Rider, but it is the only way to protect the boy – and possibly rid himself of his curse forever."
