While there is very little known about Ridley Scott's upcoming sci-fi movie Prometheus so far, the legendary director has already created a deafening buzz for the project. Conflicting reports indicate that it could be either a sequel or prequel to his breakout hit Alien, but there are also sources saying that the two films share very few similarities.
However, with the debut of the film's brand-new theatrical poster over at Shock Till You Drop, we can't help but notice an aesthetic similarity between this image for Prometheus and the theatrical poster for the original Alien. We might not know for sure whether or not these two movies are related until Prometheus drops in theaters on June 8, 2012, but until then there is sure to be wild speculation about it.
