After Apple debuted its ultra-portable laptop by showing that it was so thin it could slide in and out of a manilla folder, Dell decided to take a shot by showing off its own ultra-portable. So what if Dell's machine was not as thin, nor as beautiful—in Dell's view, with a powerful processor, more ports, and a disc drive, it provided "More Substance, Less Air." Fair enough.
