4. Nancy Marchand as Livia Soprano on The Sopranos
It doesn't get much worse than trying to have your own son killed, which is what Soprano matriarch Livia tried to do on multiple occassions. When she wasn't subtly manipulating people to whack Tony (James Gandolfini) she was generally just a miserable old woman doing her best to bring everyone around her down to her level. Her lifetime of berating her kids led to each and every one of them ending up just as crabby as she was and if Marchand didn't pass away around Season Three we're sure she would've done worse before the series ended.
