EA announced they'll be holding onto their reboot SSX for an extra two weeks to polish the game, sending the release date back from February 14th to February 28th in the US. Creative Director Todd Batty said that the team wanted a little extra time to work on the details of the game and that the delay did not indicate any major changes to the final product:

"Time to do all the little things that may not be noticeable during the first hour or two playing the game, but are appreciated over the course of days, weeks, months and beyond."

A two-week delay is far from the worst thing that could've happened and, as Batty pointed out in his statement, the results will make the game more enjoyable for long-term players.
