Carbon, the Acclaim Magazine-affiliated festival of contemporary style, design, and culture, returns in 2012. It was recently announced that the launch event for Carbon 2012 will go down Friday, April 27, with forums running over the following weekend, April 28 and 29.
The first round of confirmed speakers includes Ricky Powell, iconic hip-hop photographer; Eugene Kan, the managing editor at Hypebeast; Faith 47, the South African street artist; and Benny Gold, the streetwear label owner.
The upcoming festival will feature forums titled Everybody’s a Photographer These Days; New Media Takeover; Evolution of an Idea; and Commerce of Creativity. Look for more information when the new Carbon website launches in January 2012.
