Apple introduced AppleCare+ for iPhones this year, pitching the $99 three-year warranty package as the go-to solution for clumsy customers who get nervous just thinking about the device's all-glass front-and-back panel. But if you bought a new iPhone this year, you know that Apple was essentially cornering customers into purchasing the plan, exclusively offering it at the moment of purchase.
Now, though, the company has decided to give new iPhone owners some much-welcome leeway, extending th AppleCare+ eligibility period to 30 days. If you already bought an iPhone in the last 30 days and regret not buying AppleCare+, be nice to your local Genius and you might be able to get in on the extension.
