Though Google, Inc.'s 13th birthday was on September 4, the folks in Mountain View, Calif. decided the time was right to produced a little infomercial about Google's journey from research project to one of the most valuable companies in the world.

Google says the video is meant to "highlight some of the most important milestones from the past decade—and a taste of what's coming next," but it really only speaks about its own accomplishments. Though, to be fair, Google's the only company that's made real strides in the search business over the past decade.

The video shows interviews with some key Googler's including Vice President Marissa Meyer and Google Fellow, Ben Gomes, speaking on the company's milestones like Universal Search. The clip starts with the research project Sergey Brin and Larry Page were working on that became Google and ends with what the company will be focusing on in the future. Hint: Something akin to the Star Trek computer.
