Throughout his career, Johnny Depp has been a chameleon. One of the earliest showcases of his ability to completely transform into someone else was Tim Burton's 1990 visual masterpiece Edward Scissorhands. This modern day fairy tale tells the story of Edward (Depp), the creation of an old inventor (Vincent Price), who's left alone-and with scissors for hands-when the old man dies. After being taken in by an Avon saleswoman (Dianne Wiest), he becomes part of her family and falls in love with her daughter Kim (Winona Ryder). While Edward's hair-cutting and hedge-trimming abilities earn him the adoration of the community, his appearance and presence threaten others, such as Kim's boyfriend Jim (Anthony Michael Hall, playing the bully for once).

It's no different at Movie Monday tonight, as $3 will get you in the door, and arrival prior to 7 p.m. grants you access to a free beer and popcorn. In the two decades since its release, Edward Scissorhands has become one of the most critically acclaimed fantasy films ever made. It recieved an Academy Award nomination for Best Makeup, and Depp earned a Golden Globe nod for his performance. Check out this classic, and enjoy Price's final appearance on the silver screen tonight at The Troc.
