Earlier this month, PETA sets its targets on Nintendo and their recently released Super Mario 3D Land title for the Nintendo 3DS. According to PETA, it is a travesty that someone such as Mario would skin the lovable tanuki racoon and wear its skin in a game, glorifying the horrific practice. According to Mario’s rebuttal via the hilarious minds at Dorkly, PETA needs to get their facts straight.
This is all a big misunderstanding as no animals were actually harmed in the creation of Mario’s Tanooki suit(s). Mario’s duds are made of a completely synthetic fiber and created by obtaining a magical leaf. Duh!
And to the ingenious minds at Dorkly: great work as usual!
