9. Microsoft's recent apology to erroneously banned players
Back in September, a snafu in the software that Microsoft apparently employs to detect and ban players using modded consoles on Xbox Live caused several people's accounts to be wrongfully suspended. The issue was brought to Microsoft's attention, and affected players were mollified with about $20 worth of free Microsoft Points, and a free Xbox Live extension lasting three months, which is—you guessed it—longer than Kim Kardashian's marriage lasted.
From Microsoft's perspective, three months isn't really a very long time, and those players will no doubt resume payment for their accounts upon the fulfillment of their free play time. Of course, for someone with the attention span of a $20,000 wedding cake, like Kardashian, three months must have seemed like an eternity.
