5. Burger King Bundles

Served At: Burger King
Life Span: 1987-1987

In 1987, Burger King heard the call and gave us mini-burgers as part of their "Bundles" program. We imagine their borrowing the language of urban coat distribution programs (Project Bundle Up in Pittsburgh, for example) was deliberate, as packing small but dense sliders into our guts is a way of preparing for frigid falls and harsh winters. They also bundled us up with joy, as this commercial can attest to. Wait for the end—doesn't that little boy double-double fisting meat patties typify ecstasy? That's how we looked everyday for a few months in 1987.
