Gmail is getting a face lift. Google's beloved email service is set to receive a bevy of cosmetic and technical upgrades that will make the user experience easier and more pleasant.
This was all revealed in a video that was accidentally leaked on YouTube earlier this week. Google immediately removed the video, but before they did, a swift user downloaded the video and re-uploaded it to the Google-owned video service. Gotta love the Internet.
Among the changes will be a new, but similar interface. Profile images will be larger so message threads will resemble instant message conversations. Also, the entire interface will automatically scale itself to the size of the browser window. Under the hood, there's a reconfigured advanced search which will employ a clean drop down menu for easy search filtering.
There's no word on when these changes will go into effect. We'll keep you updated.
