Sitcoms aren't really prime candidates for video game adaptations and Home Improvement: Power Tool Pursuit! is a prime example of this. Taking the tepid family friendly humor of Tim Allen's prime time show about middle aged do-it-yourself fans in a modern age and turning it into a tepid family friendly platformer isn't the best way to extend a once-hot brand.
Sega denied publisher Absolute Entertainment the ability to release it on the Genesis because it was identical to the Super Nintendo version, but in retrospect they lucked out having one less cruddy game cluttering their library.
