18. "Attack Of The 50-Foot Eyesores" (Treehouse Of Horror VI, 1995)
Once Homer steals a gigantic plastic donut from the Lard Lad Donuts statue, the mountainous advertisement comes to life and goes to the Simpson’s house to reclaim it. Soon, the entire town is run amok by living advertisements that are getting revenge on the townspeople who have abused them throughout the years.
Not only is this story absolutely hilarious (especially when Homer convinces the Lard Land statue to smash Flanders’ home) but it also comments on the overbearing advertising in our world. But even if that sort of societal critique doesn’t excite you, there is still plenty to like about Attack of the 50 Foot Eyesores.
