We'll spare you all the plays on language we could make for this lede and get right to the point - according to a couple of linguists, cavemen may have spoken much like everyone's favorite little green dude from Star Wars, none other than Yoda himself. As in, they spoke in the order of subject, object, verb, as opposed to our normal subject, verb, object. 

"I like pie," as opposed to "I pie like," or, "This is weird," as opposed to "This weird is."

It's what new research that was recently published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences says anyway, and we're pretty inclined to believe it because the name sounds super important and stuff.
