We were pretty disappointed after the debut Three Stooges teaser poster only featured the silhouettes of Moe (Chris Diamantopoulos), Larry (Sean Hayes), and Curly (Will Sasso). But now, the first official live-action cast photo from the upcoming Farrelly Brothers flick has finally been revealed, courtesy of USA Today, and so far things are looking pretty impressive.
While Will Sasso was a near no-brainer for the role of Curly, Sean Hayes looks to be an inspired choice for Larry and Chris Diamantopoulos is almost indistinguishable from the original Moe. Thankfully this movie won't be a biopic detailing the comedy trio's struggles in the old school Hollywood system; instead, it will be a feature length film split up into three segments, much like the trio's original comedies from the '30s and '40s.
Any Stooges movie that features Larry David as an angry nun and a cameo from the cast of The Jersey Shore is an instant win in our books. We'll see if The Three Stooges can live up to the lofty standards set by the original Stooges when it is released on April 4, 2012.
