These Filipino women have found a way to end the separatist fighting in their village of Dado: by denying their husbands sex. The women of this sewing co-op were unable to sell the goods at their market due to a closed road resulting from an ongoing dispute. They decided that a sex strike was the only way to get through to their husbands, and while you’d think that withholding sex from a bunch of feuding men would piss them off even more, it appears to have worked.
Sex as a weapon is a strategy as old as time, but the whole unity thing has been a constant struggle. As Chris Rocksaid, women could rule the world if they could get along for extended periods of time. The women of Dado proved him right.
