How are things looking for Spotify, the much-hyped music player/streamer/manager that came to the U.S. from Europe this summer? Pretty good!

In an interview with CNBC, Spotify CEO Daniel Ek said the company has two million paid subscribers so far. By comparison, Spotify's biggest competitor in the U.S., Rhapsody, only has about 800,000 subscribers.

Most people who use Spotify don't pay at all, thanks to an ad-supported free version. When you add in those users, the number of subscribers jumps to a whopping 10 million.
