If you haven't noticed that Ryan Seacrest is our generation's version of Casey Kasem, according to The Hollywood Reporter, he is looking to expand his vast portfolio with a new media venture. The American Idol host-producer is in talks with live-entertainment AEG to potentially acquire VH1 Soul. The deal is reportedly in its preliminary stages, but one of the hardest working men in show business would serve as a partner and producer if the deal goes through. Can't you just see it now: Seacrest and his Persian Snooki surrounded by Erykah Badu, Bilal, and Musiq Soulchild on the set of VH1's Soul Stage?

This move, which should put the urban entertainment world on notice, would be another notch in Seacrest belt to become the new Queen King of All Media. In the past year, he has already considered launching his own network, continued his stint as the host of E! News, gave The Kardashians a home to place their spotlight, and entertain middady drivers with On Air with Ryan Seacrest. Not bad for someone who used to host a show called Gladiators 2000

For us, this news comes as no surprise, but we want to hear what you think. Do you think Ryan Seacrest would be a good fit for VH1 Soul? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
