James Gandolfini is Coming Back to HBO!

He will be producing a new comedic drama for HBO, and may even star in it!

James Gandolfini is teaming up with perpetual hitmaker HBO once again. Sadly, he will not be reprising his role as no-nonsense mob boss Tony Soprano, but he will be producing (and possibly starring in) a new show for the network called Big Dead Place. The new dramatic comedy is based on a memoir by Nicholas Johnson by the same name, and will be set in an isolated Antarctica locale.

While we can't quite picture James Gandolfini going "into the wild", the show is being penned by Peter Gould, the writer/producer for Breaking Bad and according to Deadline, will take "a tragicomic eye view of the fear and loathing, arrogance and insanity of the people living and working the last untamed frontier on the planet."

Consider us officially intrigued.
