Despite being one of the best depictions of a post-nuclear wasteland, Metro 2033 was a flawed masterpiece in some regards. Its sequel Metro: Last Light is looking to capitalize on the hype and create a more entertaining game that is less of a chore to play. THQ has released a new gameplay movie that will immerse gamers into the haunting, desolate ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow.

The epic single-player campaign finds you in the midst of a civil war, fighting for control over a doomsday device that threatens to destroy humanity forever. The video is very detailed and looks impressive as we're taking on a ride which takes place in a moving train level. Expect the full reveal in a few weeks during Gamescom.

Metro: Last Night comes out in 2012 for Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii-U.
