We're still anticipating playing The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and while the game is still in development, developer CD Projekt is keen on making improvements. On September 29, a patch will be made available to PC gamers, while Xbox-ers will get them all right out of the box. Version 2.0 of The Witcher 2 will have an improved tutorial and a "Dark Mode" difficulty, which is like an "Insane Mode," but allows saving.

Also included will be a new "Arena Mode," an arcade-style survival mode that will appeal to the hack ‘n slash afficianado in us all. Sadly enough, we still have to wait until first quarter 2012 to be able to play the game. We'll practice conjuring spells until then.
