7. Jane Ballroom at Jane Hotel
We’d usually advise you to sidestep anywhere boasting a disco ball, but at the Jane, the otherwise tacky disco-era staple is right at home amongst lithe models and tatted hipsters dancing to everything from metal to '80s pop. A lush throwback to another era, the Jane Ballroom’s Persian rugs, velvet and leather couches, leafy plants and paintings of regal women, clothed or otherwise, make it seem almost as if some really rich old guy went out of town and New York’s Matt Kliegman and Carlos Quirarte (of the Smile on Bond Street) threw an epic party….every night. And the best part? If you’re up too late drinking and dancing, you can always spend the night and stay for brunch.
