2. Control Your Audio

Before iMovie ’11, editing your audio was impossible. Maybe Apple thought people using its consumer video-editing suite wouldn’t be concerned with fooling around with the way their movies sounded. The folks in Cupertino, Calif. finally smartened up and gave users the ability to adjust the audio levels.

  • Under each video clip you will see the corresponding audio waveform.
  • Play the clip and see where the sound peaks and pops. If you would like to adjust, highlight any part of the waveform.
  • Use the volume bar to adjust the audio level to where you would like it to be (up for louder, down for lower).
