Samsung’s New Galaxy Smartphone Line Announced

Options abound.

None

Though details still remain scarce, Samsung’s new line of Galaxy smartphones are just around the corner. First up appears to be the Galaxy W (pictured above), featuring a 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen and Gingerbread-based OS.

As their current legal battle with Apple suggests, Samsung remains committed to the mobile market and the Galaxy line will lead the company’s charge, with its wealth of options hoping to cater to every consumer imaginable. Beginning with the Galaxy “Y” line, young, cost-conscious consumers will be the target. Up the ladder is the “M” (Magical) line and then the “W” (Wonder) line, intended for those “seeking a balance between style and performance,” according to Samsung’s press release. The top-shelf will include the Galaxy “R” (Royal/Refined), and “S” (Super Smart) models, “devices at the very pinnacle of Samsung’s mobile portfolio.”
