Speculation that the next iPhone will support multiple carriers right out of the box gets a little more clarified with a recent report from TechCrunch. According to the site, the phone will have chips supporting both GSM (AT&T/T-Mobile) and CDMA (Verizon/Sprint) networks baked inside.

Of course, we only know AT&T and Verizon will carry the phone for sure, but the dual-mode functionality will allow the phone to work on all the big four carriers in the US and others abroad.
