The quintessential image of your grandma reading newspaper catalogues with a pair of shears is about to be obsolete thanks to Google. Now who’s going to tell you that frozen tofu sticks are 12 cents off at the grocery store across town from where you live?

Google has introduced Google Catalogs, a free app for the iPad that allows users to scroll through several catalog ads, zoom in on pictures and products, and link directly to company websites to purchase.

The new feature that allegedly makes these catalogs all uber modern is the innovation of collages, which allows users to group together bits and pieces from multiple catalogs and send them to other users.

Can’t be long until we’re printing out our Christmas sweaters.
